NCL Research Paper Competition
The NCL Research Paper Competition invited submissions from researchers, academicians, and students from the United States and Canada. The competition aimed to promote innovative research and provide a platform for exchanging ideas and knowledge in cybersecurity competitions. We encouraged interdisciplinary research and welcomed papers from all subject areas. All submissions underwent a double-blind peer review process and the evaluation criteria included originality, significance, technical quality, clarity, and presentation.
Three top winners were identified:
1st Place: Josh Bruntly

2nd Place: Chip Thornsburg & Barbara Hewitt
Northeast Lakeview College
Paper: “Assessing the Efficacy of Student Participation in Cyber Competitions for Cybersecurity Workforce Development”

3rd Place: Yesser Alshehri
West Virginia University
Paper: “The Impact of the National Cyber League NCL on Students Skills in Cybersecurity”
