Power Rankings
The Cyber Power Rankings were created by Cyber Skyline in partnership with the National Cyber League (NCL). Every year, over 10,000 students from more than 500 colleges & universities and 100 high schools across the US participate in the NCL competitions.
These rankings represent the ability of students from these schools to perform real-world cybersecurity tasks on the Cyber Skyline platform. Students had to identify hackers from forensic data, pentest & audit vulnerable websites, recover from ransomware attacks, and more.
Schools are ranked based on their top team performance, their top student's individual performance, and the aggregate individual performance of their students.
NCL Awards
Each season, awards are provided to the top individuals and teams in the NCL Games.
For the Individual Game, challenge coins are sent to the top 500 Student Players in the Standard Bracket, as well as any Student Players in the Experience Bracket whose score would place them in the top 500 of the Standard Bracket. The top 50 Industry players will also receive a challenge coin. Trophies are awarded to the top 3 individuals in both the Standard and Experienced brackets. Industry players are not eligible for trophies.
For the Team Game, trophies are sent to the top 5 teams in both the Standard and Experienced Student brackets.
Leaderboards
How did they do? Individuals and teams keep tabs.
The NCL Games invite friendly (and sometimes serious!) competition, and each Season’s Leaderboard shows exactly how individuals and teams ranked relative to the other players. It’s all part of the fun!
